Akshay and Aishwarya in a retro avatar

Khiladi (Akshay) Kumar and Aishwarya Rai are sharing the screen space together once again in the movie Action Replayy. In this movie the duo is going to appear in a retro avatar of 70's. Sources says that, the hot and hit stars would also be seen as an aged couple in the current times. Yes, Akshay Kumar is playing the role a 60 year old man while Aishwarya would be seen as a 55 year old lady.


The stars are not making a flash appearance in this look, infact, they have a few substantial scenes to establish their relationship as a couple. Vipul Shah (the Director) says that, he is amazed to see Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as an old couple, they are looking so beautiful even at that age. Vipul adds that, he has worked with Akshay in four films earlier but in Action Replayy, it was completely a different experience working with him. Akshay is very lively and when it comes to Aishwarya, no other heroine could do justice with the role better than her, says Vipul. He could not think of anyone else than Aishwarya.

Well, the people of the unit says that, the stars are looking wonderful as an old couple. Let's see what the audience has to say about this movie, the flick is set to release November 5th. So, guys get ready to watch Akshay and Aishwarya in a retro avatar. Presently, the actor is looking forward for his upcoming movie 'Tees Maar Khan' with big hopes wherein he is paired with Katrina Kaif. Beauty Icon , Aishwarya Rai is busy with her forthcoming project 'Raaste' wherein she is paired opposite her hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

Salman, Katrina and Akshay will do a 'Qawali'

A big buzz in the Bollywood is that, hot stars Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are going to do a 'Qawali' together. Before, a hot news moving around said that, Katrina is going to do a 'Jumma Chumma in Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Mar Khan’.

Now, the Director has decided to rope in Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Akshay in a special 'Qawali'. All the stars going to appear together in Farah's forthcoming movie 'Tees Maar Khan'. Sources say that, the song is going to be based on line to the ‘Main Hoon Na’ number, the lines are ‘Tujh Se Mil Ke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal Kya Kare’. This special 'Qawali' will be shot very soon after the main shooting of ‘Tees Mar Khan’ gets completed. Everybody is curious to watch these hot stars together. All credit goes to Farah, who is leaving no stone unturned to add crisp in her movie.

So, guys get ready to watch Salman, Akshay and Katrina sizzling the screen with their magical presence. It is worthwhile mentioning here that, Farah is a noted choreographer cum director , she has directed the movies like 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Main Hoo Na' with Shahrukh Khan in a lead role. Her another upcoming project is 'Happy New Year' which is going to release in 2011.

This Khiladi of Bollywood , Akshay Kumar is very busy these days. The actor is shooting for 'Patiala House' in Tornto. He seems to be having a blast there. The actor has posted his picture in which he is seen with a rose tucked behind his ear! The Director of 'Patiala House' is Nikhil Advani, this movie is going to be very special like other movies of Akshay.


Akshay Kumar has posted his picture of him grimmacing/grinning/grimmacing, the actor added on Twitter that "Now you know Patiala House has its moment of laughter'. He further adds that, it was an idea of Nikhil Advani, the audience will love and enjoy watching him in a very different role in 'Patiala House'. In this movie his co-stars are Dara Singh and Vindu Dara Singh.

In Toronmto, Akki also met Bobby Deol to add fun, he has also posted his pictures with Bobby Deol. Akshay's forthcoming projects are Tees Maar Khan, Directed by Farah Khan and Faltu by Vashu Bhagnani.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is in good company, she has opted to work with Nikhil Advani for Patiala House. Nikhil Advani said that he remember the article of Aditya Chopra that why he cast Anushka Sharma opposite Shahrukh Khan in the movie Rab Ne Bana De Jodi.


Adi wants the audiences to feel that they are watching Shahrukh film but landed up coming out of the cinema, seeing Suri character of SRK.

Jiah Khan ended up holding ear of Randhir Kapoor, Jiah Khan is playing a role Randhir Kapoor daughter. After the sequence, Sajid told her to apologize to Randhir Kapoor, hold her ears, and ask for forgiveness.

Deepika headed to US for wedding

Love Aaj Kal fame Deepika Padukone currently is in the US to attend a close cousin’s wedding and to spend some quality time with her relatives. After her recent break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, ye break to banta hai.




Deepika Padukone hasn’t taken a break since she started working on Om Shanti Om back in 2006. The actress then worked on Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Chandni Chowk To China alongwith Akshay Kumar and then Love Aaj Kal with Saif Ali Khan.

Recently Akshay Kumar was in news for sporting two tattoos. The one on his back read ‘Aarav’, name of his son and another on this neck read ‘Blue’, the name of his next film. Interestingly Akshay is named Aarav in Blue making the two tattoos go in sync with the film.

Shiney has got another filmy companion in jail

Shiney Ahuja is currently in judicial custody till August 13. The actor has been accused of raping his maid servant. In the same jail is gangster Abu Salem, on whom his character in the Anurag Basu film Gangster (2006) was based upon.

Now Shiney Ahuja has got another filmy companion. It is filmmaker Sunil Agnihotri, known for his mega hit fantasy serial Chandrakanta and his Akshay Kumar double role starrer Jai Kishen (1997) and Akshay’s solo starrer Daava (1997).

Sunil Agnihotri has been convicted in a cheque bouncing case filed by producer Samir Hingora. Samir has been the producer of Sanjay Dutt-Manisha Koirala starrer Sanam (1997) and Jackie Shroff’s double role starrer Dil Hi To Hai (1992).

Sunil Agnihotri has been arrested under sec. 138 and will be lodged at Arthur Road prison for 6 months imprisonment sentence. His last directed film was Arbaaz Khan starrer Alibaba Aur Chaalis Chor (2004).

Recession in Bollywood

The Bollywood bubble seems to have finally burst. Bollywood is badly struck by recession.

Akshay Kumar, whose acting fees had reportedly hit a high of Rs 75 crore in 2008, has slashed down to around Rs 33 crore. So it seems even the Khiladi could not dodge the effects of an economy in recession.

The recent two month face-off between producers and multiplex owners has already cost them Rs.100 crore and Rs. 250 crore respectively. Add to it, the economic slowdown and producers are being forced to tighten their budgets. They have cut down on star prices, limited the hire of studio equipment, studio floors and even vanity vans.

Marketing films has also taken a hit. Kambakht Ishq, made at Rs 65 crore, went over budget as a result the plan to fly in the Hollywood talent used in the film including Sylvester Stallone has now been scrapped.

Films like Om Shanti Om and Ghajini were being picked up for unheard of prices ranging from Rs 60 crore – Rs 90 crore. However, the offers aren't so readily coming in now.

Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan starrer London Dreams which was to be bought by the Indian Film Company for Rs 120 crore at one point of time is finding it difficult to fetch even Rs. 80 crore now.So is the case with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt starrer Blue reportedly made at
Rs.100 crore is still looking for a buyer. Even one of Bollywood's most successful filmmakers Rakesh Roshan is reportedly having trouble getting the Rs 100-crore price attached to the Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer Kites.

In fact, several productions in the pipeline have been affected by the current market scenario. While Big Pictures have scrapped their adventure drama Talisman starring Amitabh Bachchan, Eros has pushed the start date for their animation and special effects heavy futuristic film RA1 starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Star prices, or budget of Bollywood films and star tantrums thus are things of the past. The only thing certain in this world is uncertainty!

Akki refuses to play quiz host

Once the reigning ‘King of Bollywood’, Akshay Kumar’s recent debacles at the Box Office may have dethroned him of the coveted title, but that hardly seems to stop him from making kingly demands.

The highly paid actor Akshay Kumar has joined the ever-increasing list of actors who have refused to offer any price respite in the tough time of recession.

Then if it means turning down plum offers, Akshay seems to be having no second thoughts. Akki who has reportedly charged a throbbing price for hosting ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (Season 2), has turned down an offer from prominent TV channel over money matters.

Top news is that Akshay Kumar was approached to play host for a quiz show. But the actor politely refused the show citing the issue of date problems. However, going by his recent series of duds at the Box Office, if there is one thing that Akshay has in plenty is dates.
